The iOpener team has featured in a 60 minute CNN special about happiness. The programme, fronted by Dr Sanjay Gupta, explored happiness in several domains including work. iOpener Ltd and two of their clients, Puma and Focus Solutions, took part in the programme and shared their experience of working together to transform their businesses.

On screen, Jess and Philippa spoke about why happiness is a key issue for all organisations, the main issues involved and how to implement a happiness success strategy. They showed how to apply positive psychology practically in both one-to-one and teamwork sessions.

iOpener's Head of Research Vaughan Dutton discussed the preliminary results of the consultancy’s latest research.

Vaughan explained that iOpener’s unique analysis has shown that, "happiness is directly connected to productivity, engagement and commitment. It amazes me that organisations aren’t taking this seriously as it has a fundamental impact on the bottom line."

CNN learned about iOpener’s pioneering work on happiness from the BBC2 series Making Slough Happy, broadcast last year.

Jess says: “It’s really interesting that a team of producers in distant Atlanta heard about our work and have chosen to travel here to report on what we do. It’s proof that happiness as a key concept in professional life is genuinely catching on.

“We were delighted to welcome the CNN film crew here in Oxford and also to arrange for them to accompany us on visits to clients."
